Solomons to Swan Creek in Rock Hall, Maryland

We made another early start headed to Rock Hall. It was choppy on the bay with the waves coming from an uncomfortable direction so we ducked into Eastern Bay and through Kent Narrows for calmer seas. We passed the entrance to the Chester River and headed up Swan Creek and anchored near Haven Harbour Marina. There was only one sailboat but the anchorage filled up by Saturday night. We headed to the marina dinghy dock and ended up towing in small boat that had run out of gas. We ate lunch at a new place called Flying Decoy restaurant and had an excellent crab dip with tortilla chips and shared a fried green tomato sandwich with truffle fries. We did a circle walk around town and headed back to the boat for happy hour and beautiful sunset.

Beautiful cat tails along the road

On Saturday morning we walked to Muskrat Alley Cafe and we're the first customers for a waffle and an avocado bialy which is like a bagel. We stopped back by the Ship's Store at Haven Harbor Marina and then went on to Dollar General Store, West Marine and Ace Hardware before continuing on our loop walk past Harbor Shack stopping in for jalapeno crab dip in a bread bowl and a beer. Back to the boat as Glenn ran more wire to relocate flux gate for autopilot to get it running properly. We cooked dinner on the boat and prepared to get underway before dawn on Sunday to head up to Havre de Grace before the small craft advisory went into effect.

Finally found Waterman's Museum open
