From the Bustards we had open water in Georgian Bay so we timed it with the weather forecast for calm conditions which we got. We passed through the narrow Collins Inlet which was a fjord-like cut in pink granite know as one of the most spectacular sight along Georgian Bay which did not disappoint. We passed by the first Keyhole Anchorage with two sailboats and open to the channel and anchored in the second anchorage called Island 58 by the locals since the Canadian charts pace the mile 58 marker on top of the island. We started out by ourselves and had four other boats join us by the afternoon. We took off in the dinghy for Chickanishing Creek and traveled up the winding Creek to the parking lot and tied up the dinghy by the launching ramp. We took off on the 3.5 kilometer trail which ran along the rocks, woods and shore with natural scenery, great overlooks, historical markers and lots of rock scrambling. The trail markers were on the rocks and trees and we lost sight of them several times wandering around until we caught up with the trail again. It was our one chance to hike in Killarney Provincial Park.
