After a quiet evening and morning trip ashore to Manhattan Bagel Cafe we took off up Tom's River and up Barnegat Bay through Manasquan River through the Point Pleasant Canal and then waited for the treacherous railroad bridge to open after passing train. With the Juneteenth Holiday, the boat traffic was busy with the tour boats and fishing boats around the inlet. We got diesel at Captain Bill's Landing Marina fuel dock and then moved into our slip for the night. We took advantage of the discount for lunch at Red Lobster Pot Restaurant next door. We sat at the bar and enjoyed steamer clams and fish and chips. We headed towards the inlet and then followed it around to the Atlantic Ocean Beach and the boardwalk with all the carnival rides and arcades. We went across a bridge to a Fishermen's Coop Store where Glenn found a nice big brimmed straw sun hat. We ended up walking seven miles. We have that the weather forecast holds to go offshore to New York City tomorrow.
