We enjoyed lunch anchored up from Atlantic City waiting for the tide and current to switch before heading on to Barnegat Bay. It was a pleasant day with all sorts of sights on the water. We changed our initial plan to anchor at Seaside near the ocean and boardwalk when we spotted Cocktail Cove up Tom's River near the Ocean Gate Yacht Club. We anchored next to one sailboat and out from the yacht club mooring balls near a beach and abandoned park. It was a beautiful sunset as we arrived near 7:30 pm but well worth the distance to find a sheltered cove.
