Beaufort to Buzzard Roost Point near Charleston, South Carolina

It was a quiet evening since it was rainy and gray and no boats were taking the shortcut up Factory Creek. We got an early start Friday morning in the cool 60-degree weather with jackets and pants on as it remained overcast all day and cool. We traveled with a group of boats as everyone had been hunkered down for the thunderstorms yesterday but luckily did not come with the strong winds forecasted. We are anchored around Buzzard Roost Point waiting for a slack tide to go through Elliot Cut in the morning heading to Charleston. We plan to grill out steaks for dinner and enjoy being out of the crowds. We watched the pelicans and porpoises play all day.
