The steaks were great on the grill last evening and we had a quiet night on the Stono River considering it was Friday night. We got an early start into Elliott Cut following a sailboat we had traveled with for the last couple of days. We zoomed through Charleston Harbour before the boaters got crazy and continued on toward Georgetown. We passed by Belle Isle Marina and Georgetown Landing Marina where we had kept our previous sailboat while living in Charlotte, North Carolina. We continued up the Waccamaw River to anchor behind Butler Island. We were the second boat here and ended up with six total. All the fast fishing boats roared through leaving us jolting wakes until sundown. The birds were making music and it was a cool, pleasant evening.
