Tysons Harbor, Dog Island, near Carrabelle, Florida

We waited over an hour past low tide for slack current to pull away from the dock at The Moorings Marina. The fog rolled in last evening as we were having happy hour at the Captain's Lounge pavilion  and doing laundry. We woke up to fog this morning and it lifted somewhat as we came out of Carrabelle River headed to the east end of Dog Island. We had explored this anchorage and beach in our Whaler fishing boat. After defrosting the freezer, we headed ashore. At that point in the afternoon it was still overcast and the fog thickened so we could not see the catamaran from the beach. Glenn did some trolling and then casting from the beach and I beachcombed. We discovered a horseshoe crab turned turtled so we flipped him over and he scuttled into the surf and finally swam away. We'll check the weather forecast for heading to Steinhatchee in the morning staying at Sea Hag Marina. We've enjoyed our time on the Forgotten Coast and a good place to socially distance on the beautiful gulf beaches.
