Urbana to Yopp's Cove and John's Neck at Irvington, Virginia

We headed back down Urbana Creek to the Rappahannock and down to the Carrotoman River entrance where we continued on towards Irvington. We anchored at Yopp's Cove and dinghied over to the Tides Inn to dock. We left the dinghy and walked to Irvington stopping at the Steamboat Museum for a cool reprieve from the heat. We passed by the Holly Inn where they had moved the Dog Mini Vineyard and Oyster Bar but it was too hot even in the shade to consider the wine tasting. We headed back to the boat and then moved back out to anchor off John's Neck in the Rappahannock River to get more of the breeze. They guys got a cool down shower on the stern steps and ended up with our lawn chairs on the front deck in the shade. The cold gin and tonic drinks at happy hour finally cooled us down.
