Orillia to Mile 216.6 Deep Bay, Ontario, Canada

We let the marina at 7 am and it was a little breezier than predicted. We cruised down Lake Couchiching then entered the slow speed section at Sparrow Lake. Again we had to slow down for Railroad Bridge that did not open until 9 am. We went through Lock 42 Couchiching hearing that Lock 44 the Chute was still closed from yesterday.  We followed a new boater to the Hamlet Swing Bridge that you had to honk 3 times to signal to get an opening. We continued through 26 mile long Sparrow Lake and decided to turn into Deep Bay at Mile 216.6 to anchor out and stay away from the stopped traffic ahead at Lock 44.  The only other boat in the beautiful secluded and protected anchorage is the catamaran anchored out with us in Peterborough. We enjoyed a nice quiet day.

Busy railroad bridge stopped traffic for some for hours

Possibly a cell phone tower?

Deep Bay anchorage

So few options to anchor out on the Trent Severn Waterway
