Worton Creek to Swan Creek, Rock Hall, Maryland

It did not cool down much last night and it was the hottest night so far but we were still able to sleep comfortably. This morning we dinghied into Handy's Point Marina to dump trash as they had a mooring field and a dinghy dock. On the other side were Green Point Landing Marina and Worton Creek Marina on the other side.  Across the creek was the dinghy dock for Lands Point Vineyards and Winery. The owners restored a historic 1700s mansion and carriage house for the tasting room. We enjoyed three dry red wines on the screened porch and chose a bottle of the red and white blend chilled along with the charcuterie board and took home a bottle of their two-grape blended wine. The wind and seas had calmed so we pulled anchor and headed out in the bay past Tolchester Beach to Swan Creek on the backside of Rock Hall. We can dinghy into Haven Harbour Marina and walk into the town of Rock Hall.

On Saturday morning we dinghied into Haven Harbor Marina dinghy dock. They only have one boat in their mooring field and two dinghies at the dock. They have a beautiful sandy, shady area off the restauant with adirondeck chairs and the pool is across the parking lot. It is a beautiful resort marina with the watermen's museum next door along with cottages and an inn. We walked along Rock Hall Avenue to Rock City Cafe which Glenn remembered as Pasta Plus when we drove over here from Tolchester Marina. We stopped at Bayside Market and the Fresh Garden Market and then hiked around the Bayfront Landing Park and past all the marinas and to the Ferry Park Beach. We ended up back at Rock Hall Village for fresh squeezed lemonade after our 6-mile hike. We spent a lazy afternoon in the shade and a wonderful breeze on the flybridge.

Sunday morning we headed into Haven Harbour dinghy dock and headed to the opposite way to Muscrat Alley Cafe which is only open on weekends at a B&B. We had a delicious Belgian waffle with strawberries and creme and banana nut. We walked towards Harbour Shack as it started to rain and sat at the bar to watch the men's final at Wimbledon tennis. It was an exciting match and we shared a fantastic hot blue crab cheese dip in a bread bowl with some local brew Bird is Bird. It continued to rain as we headed back to the boat. All the boats had left the anchorage making for a quiet evening,
