Cumberland Island to Saint Simon's Island, Georgia

We headed over to the dinghy dock at Sea Camp in time to walk the River Trail to Dungeness Dock to meet the ranger for the 10:00 am Birding Walk for World Bird Migration Day. The ranger came on the ferry so we had a crowd as we walked to the Duck Pond and the Dungeness ruins to the Boat Dock We saw a bald eagle soar overhead, saw a great blue heron nest and an osprey nest, and other waterfowl. The duck pond was filled with an alligator and four young and no ducks. We hiked back to Sea Camp dock for a picnic lunch then took off to hit the high tide at Jekyll Island and then anchored off Golden Isles Marina at Saint Simons, Georgia. We saw rain showers off in the distance but had a nice happy hour on the flybridge.
