Finally it warmed up to more reasonable temperatures and we pulled anchor at 8:30 am and started through the many drawbridges. We passed under Flagler Bridge and then under Royal Park drawbridge and we knew Southern Boulevard Bridge was under construction so we called them only to find out there was a malfunction and the bridge was stuck in the down position. This is one of the few bridges we could not go under even lowering our VHF and SSB antennas. So we went back under Royal Park bridge and anchored across from the West Palm Beach City docks. It was a beautiful sunny day and we headed to Avocado Toast Cafe for their farm fresh to table tapas and outdoor sidewalk dining in the sun. The special was a seafood chowder that we had along with chicken empanadas and a cold draft beer that was excellent. We had our grocery bags so we took the short walk over to Publix and looked for our items we had missed buying first off. We called the bridge tender when we got back to the boat and the bridge is back operational so we will be able to continue on tomorrow. This is a great stop and our first time here and we'll have to explore it again.
