Eau Gallie to Faber Cove in Fort Pierce

We made it an early start to catch some breeze. It was comfortable sleeping with fans but as soon as the day starts to heat up you need to be on the move. So we had coffee and breakfast underway. Around lunchtime the thunderstorms loomed so we pulled off into a side anchorage near Vero Beach that we had noticed a few boat anchored at. There was 7 feet of water and we enjoyed a nice lunch of leftover grilled chicken and salad. As we headed toward Fort Pierce the winds picked up so we picked up our speed. By the time we got to our usual anchorage south of the causeway bridge, there were whitecaps so we headed back into the calm waters of Faber Cove. We had anchored here once before and there was one young kid heading back to his anchored sailboat. A Coast Guard inflatable cruised through the anchorage but otherwise we had the place to ourselves for a peaceful night. We never did get any rain,
