Endymion Island to Prince Edward County Marina, Picton, Ontario, Canada

We slipped easily off the mooring ball at Endymion Island. Most of the boats had left yesterday with a few coming in to the other side of the mooring field away from us. It was a nice cruise through the small boat channel through the Thousand Islands. We crossed our path where we entered Canada last season and continued on past Kingston where the Rideau Canal begins and on to Picton. We stayed alongside the floating dock at Prince Edward County Marina in Picton Harbour. The remodeling fell short of putting power or water on the docks but it was a great location. We to the 555 Brewery for a brew and pizza in a beautiful outside patio garden setting. We then continue on and walked to an auto parts store and then on to Canadian Tire which is a huge department and hardware type store. We stopped by the government liquor store which had Internet to download my pictures. We had a relaxing evening down below in front of the fans to beat the heat and the bugs.

We got up early and took the cart with our laundry loaded up to the Washtub Laundry not far from the marina. Glenn went in search of coffee and pastries and we quickly got four loads of laundry done. After dropping it back by the boat, we headed back to the liquor store, bakery and meat market, Rexall Drug Store, Dollarama Store and finally the Metro Food Market. We loaded it all on the boat and then set off for another auto parts store which did have what we needed and then on to Prince Eddy's Brewing Company. We had a delicious lunch of Jamaican Jerk chicken and rice cooked the Caribbean way. Our last stop was the Birdhouse Park which was an amazing park of creative bird houses next to the nature preserve. By the time we got back to the boat, we had walked almost ten miles and were ready to chill.

Grenadier Island to Endymion Island, Leeds and Thousand Islands, Ontario, Canada

After a leisurely breakfast on Wednesday, we took the dinghy up the anchorage to the channel heading to Parks Canada Grenadier Island dock. There was one huge motor yacht taking up the whole dock as we tied up the dinghy and went ashore. There was short trail up to a pavilion and then back to the dock and another trail headed over to the composting toilet. Our mooring pass pays the entrance fee to all the Parks Canada Parks. We then headed back to the boat and pulled anchor and heading towards Camelot Island and Endymion Island Parks Canada Parks. We passed Thousands Island tour boats on our way. The Moorings on the other side of Endymion Island had several free so I used the new fancy boat hook that threads a line through the top of the mooring ball and got it the first attempt. It was a pleasant afternoon on the fly bridge with a few boat wakes from the channel. Our neighbors had fold up kayaks which were interesting to see them unpack and they stopped by as they paddled around the anchorage.

On Thursday morning after breakfast we took the dinghy around the island to the large dock on Camelot Island. There were about six boats at the dock with room for one more as we tied up. We took the trail around the island past a few tent campsites, a pavilion and composting toilet. There was another small dock and a ring in a rock that had three boats stern tied up and rafted together. We passed another anchorage with mooring balls. We heard the thunder and should have taken taken cover under the pavilion but instead jumped in the dinghy and got dumped on with rain on the way back to our boat.  We hung out our jackets to dry as the sun came out. We head out to Picton tomorrow.
